Sining Zheng

Sining Zheng graduated from Peking University, Beijing, China, 1970. He obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Jilin University, Changchun, China, in 1978 and 1998, respectively. He worked as a Professor in Department of Applied Mathematics, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 1991; Visiting Associate, Department of Applied Mathematics, California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, Calif., 1995–1996; Associate Professor, Department of Applied Mathematics, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, from 1987 to 1991; Visiting Scholar, Department of Mathematics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., 1984–1985; Reviewer, Mathematical Reviews, American Mathematical Society in 1987; Editorin the editorial board of Journal of Mathematical Research and Exposition from 1999 to 2005; Editor in the editorial board, Journal of Dalian University of Technology in 2005. He was awarded the Super Grade Prize for Outstanding Teachers, Baosteel Education Fund, 2000; Special Subsidy from the Central Government, the State Council of China, 2000; Prizes for Distinguished Professor, Dalian University of Technology, 2003; and Prizes for Distinguished Professor, Liaoning Province, China, 2007.
