Ronnie Fass, MD, is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Director of the GI Motility Laboratories at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System and the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center and head of the Neuroenteric Clinical Research Group. Dr. Fass is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is currently the chair of the Publication Committee of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), and a member of the Education Committee and the FDA Related Matters Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a council member of the Functional Brain Gut Association (FBG), chair of the Esophageal Section of the American College of Gastroenterology, a member of the Nominating Committee of the Upper GI Section of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), and of the Merit Review Study Section Neurobiology A. Dr. Fass is the former chair of the Practice Parameter Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). A frequent lecturer and presenter, Dr. Fass is a reviewer for 50 journals and is on the editorial board for 12 journals. He has published more than 350 abstracts, editorials, letters and articles in journals such as Gastroenterology, Gut, American Family Physician, American Journal of Gastroenterology and Archives of Internal Medicine.
