Riva Brik, M.D. degree holder, is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Head of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Rheumatology, Meyer-Children's Hospital of Haifa, Israel. Dr. Brik is a graduate of the Technion Faculty of Medicine, Haifa, Israel (1976), and she is board certified (cum laude) in Pediatrics and Rheumatology. She has been a Clinical Fellow in Pediatric Rheumatoly at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, US (1984–1986) and Visiting Professor at Cornell University, NY, USA (2004). She is currently the Head of the Pediatric Department and the Pediatric Rheumatology service, and Vice Dean of Education at the Technion Faculty of Medicine. Her main research interests are in the fields of children with autoimmune diseases, biological treatments in JIA, osteoporosis in children, biological markers in saliva of children with autoimmune disorders, molecular genetics of FMF, and PFAPA syndrome.
