Cheng-Sheng Chen serves as an Associate Professor of psychiatry at the College of Medicine, Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), Kaohsiung, Taiwan. He completed the medical school at KMU and trained in psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry, Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital. Chen then did a clinical research fellowship in biological psychiatry at Columbia University. His interest of study is the interface between depression and cognitive impairment in the elderly, and he is also known for his research into cognitive impairment in late-life major depressive disorder and neuropsychiatric symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. He has been a Principal Investigator on several research grants from the National Science Council in Taiwan. Chen has published over sixty research papers and articles.
