Angelo de Fatima
Angelo de Fatima received his B.S. degree in chemistry from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV; Brazil) in 1999, and M.S. (2002) and Ph.D. (2005) degrees in organic chemistry from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP; Brazil). He joined the Department of Biochemistry at UNICAMP in 2006 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He serves currently as an Adjunct Professor of the Department of Chemistry, Institute of Exact Sciences at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG; Brazil). He has published articles on topics such as synthesis of natural products, medicinal chemistry, microbiology, and chemical biology, being active as peer reviewer of journals related to these fields. He has also authored/coauthored four patents and a series of book chapters. His primarily interest is to synthesize natural and nonnatural substances that have biological profiles and thus technological applications. He serves as a Member of the Brazilian Chemical Society and Brazilian Society of Microbiology.
