Katsutoshi Arai

Katsutoshi Arai received the B.S. degree in biology and aquaculture from the Faculty of Fisheries, Hokkaido University, Hakodate, Japan in 1977. He received the M.S. degree from Graduate School of Fisherie, Hokkaido University in 1979. From 1980 to 1984, he was a Research Associate at the School of Fisheries Science, Kitasato University, Sanriku, Iwate, Japan. In 1984, he received the Ph.D degree in biology and aquaculture from Hokkaido University by the desertation from Hokkaido University. From 1984 to 1989, he was a Lecturer at the School of Fisheries Science, Kitasato University. From 1989 to 1999, he was an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Applied Biological Science, Hiroshima University, Higashi-Hiroshima, Japan. Since 1999, he has served as a Professor at the Faculty and Graduate School of Fisheries Sciences, Hokkaido University.
