Ali Z. Momeni

Ali Z. Momeni was born in Borujen, Iran in 1949. He received the M.D. degree in 1975 from Isfahan University, Isfahan, Iran. During 1979-1981, he completed his dermatology residency in Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran, and in September 1981 he received dermatology board certificate. He was Fellow of immunology, allergy, dermatopathology, and laser therapy in the University of Vienna, Austria. He was Scientific Member of Isfahan University of Medical Sciences for more than 15 years, and now he is Head of the Center of Dermatologic Consultation & Laser Therapy, Isfahan, Iran, Vice President of Isfahan Dermatology Society, and Associated Editor of Isfahan Dermatology Journal. He gained the following awards: First Award and Special Diploma for the Best Research, 1994, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences; Special Award for the Best Paper, 1995, Isfahn University of Medical Sciences; First Award and Special Diploma for the Best Paper, 1996, Isfahan University of Medical Sciences; First Award for Best Scientific Book, 2009, Tehran University of Medical Sciences. He was PI of more than 20 research studies and published more than 80 scientific papers. The main fields of his study are cutaneous leishmaniasis and pemphigus.
