Peter K. Mallmann
Peter K. Mallmann worked from 1979 to 1983 at the Laboratory for Tumor-Immunology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University Hospital Bonn, Bonn, Germany (Head: Professor Dr. E. J. Plotz) and at the Scientific Laboratory for Anaesthesia (Head: Professor Dr. H. Stoeckel). On December 1st 1983, he started the medical specialisation for obstetrics and gynecology. In 1984 Mallmann became Head of the Laboratory for Tumor- and Reproductive-Immunology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospital Bonn, Bonn, Germany. In 1985 he did his M.D. studies about the influence of a combined radiotherapy on immunological parameters from patients with cervical carcinoma (rating magna cum laude). In 1989, he was appointed as a University Lecturer (C1) and Consultant at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospital Bonn. In 1992 Mallmann was awarded a research grant from the German Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics for the work "Lymphokine-activated tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (LAK-TIL) in combination with active specific immunotherapy with virus-modified autologous tumor cells in disseminated breast and ovarian cancer." In 1996 he was appointed as Director of the Department for Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Hospital, University of Cologne, Cologne, Germany. In 2007 he was certified in an education centre of the European Board of Gynecology and Obstetrics, a breast centre, and a gynecologic cancer centre.
