Xingzhong Yan

Xingzhong Yan works as an Assistant Professor since December, 2006, at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD, USA. He worked as a Research Director at Technova Corporation, East Lansing, Mich, USA, from July, 2006, to December, 2006, and as Staff Scientist at Dr. Ted Goodson III’s group at both University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich, USA, from December 2002 to July 2006. He received his Postdoctoral degree in laser spectroscopy from the State Key Laboratory of Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy, Sun Yat-sen University, China, in June, 1996, Ph.D. degree in polymer from the Institute of Polymer Science, Sun Yat-sen University, in June 1994, M.S. degree in physical chemistry-catalysis from the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in July, 1991, and B.S. degree in chemistry-organic analysis from the Department of Chemistry, Hunan Normal University, China, in July 1988. Yan is a team member of both the photovoltaic and biofuel teams in SDSU. He serves as a Member of the American Chemical Society (since 2002), SPIE (since 2009), and Society of Porphyrin and Phthalocyanines (since 2010).
