Yujing Mu was born on 17 November, 1964 in Hebei, China. He graduated from the Department of Chemistry of Nankai University in 1988 and got his M.S. and Doctoral degrees from Research Center for Eco-environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (RCEES-CAS) in 1991 and 1997, respectively. He was promoted as an Associate Professor and Professor of RCEES-CAS in 2000 and 2004, respectively. His research directions were the pollution levels and spatial-temporal distribution characters of the important atmospheric trace gases (including COS, H2S, CS2, DMS, BTEX, Carbonyls, PAN, N2O, CH4, etc.); the exchange fluxes between the biosphere and the atmosphere (including COS, DMS, Isoprene, N2O, NOx, NH3, CH4, CO2, etc.); photochemical kinetics and mechanisms (including the reactions of VOCs and reduced sulfur compounds with OH radicals, Cl atoms, and O3).
