Xiumin Jiang

Prof Xiumin Jiang is the head of department of power and energy engineering, director of institute of thermal energy engineering in School of Mechanical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Reducing Emissions from Coal Combustion (Shanghai) and director of Research & Development Centre of National Demonstration Base for Comprehensive Utilization of Oil Shale Resource . He was promoted to associate professor in 1993, was promoted to professor in 1995. Professor Jiang is an expert on theory and technology of oil shale high efficiency clean comprehensive utilization. also developed a new technology of super fine pulverized coal particle combustion., he is now also researching on new technology of coal water slurry combustion and waste material incineration and biomass energy. Prof. Jiang’s research results have been published in more 200 journal papers, and holds over 20 patents. Prof Jiang has also conducted projects with supported the central government of China, Shanghai Municipality, Jilin province, Shandong Metropolitan. He has completed 6 project sponsored by National Natural Science Foundation of China and National High-tech Research and Development Program.
