Alicia Cordero serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics. She obtained her Ph. D. degree in dynamical analysis of three-dimensional manifolds in 2003. She is a Member of the Institute of Multidisciplinary Mathematics of the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. Cordero published some papers on handling decomposition, links of periodic orbits, and their applications to celestial mechanics. Her research interests are in the areas of dynamical systems and numerical analysis. She has been working on a number of different problems, which fall under iterative methods for solving nonlinear equations or nonlinear systems and dynamical studies of rational functions.
