D. A. Kendall
David A. Kendall received the Pharmacy degree from The University of Nottingham, Nottingham, UK, and the Ph.D. degree in sex steroids and brain neurochemistry, in 1979. He spent two years in the pharmaceutical industry before spending three years in The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, researching receptor mechanisms with a particular interest in antidepressants. He then returned to UK (University of Leicester) to work on cell signalling with a focus on phosphoinositides. He moved to the University of Nottingham Medical School, in 1985. Currently, he is a Professor of cellular pharmacology. Kendall is engaged in studies of endocannabinoid signalling in pain, depression, and neurodegeneration.
