Aziz Ghoufi received a Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from Université Blaise Pascal, Clermont-Ferrand, France, in 2006. After two Postdoctoral stages in Institut Francais du Pétrole, Paris, France, in the group of Dr. P. Ungerer and in Institut Charles Gerhardt, Montpellier, France, in the group of Pr. G. Maurin he became a Lecturer in 2008 at Université de Rennes1, Rennes, France. He currently works in "Nanosciences Materials" Department at Institut de Physique de Rennes (IPR), Rennes, France. His research interests include the development and applications of advanced molecular and mesoscale simulations techniques to model heterogeneous systems and to understand the confinement effect, adsorption of gases in porous materials, nanofiltration in membranes, adsorption at the air-liquid interface, and so forth. Professor Ghoufi is the author of more than 55 peer-reviewed papers.
