Ming-Qiang Zhu studied from 1989 to 1993 at the Department of Chemistry, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, to receive a B.A degree. From 1993 to 1996, he studied at the Department of Chemistry, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, to receive an M.A degree. From 1998 to 2001, he studied at the Department of Chemistry, Peking University, Beijing, China, to receive a Ph.D. degree. From July 1996 to August 1998, he worked at Department of Chemistry, Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, as a Lecturer. From March 2002 to September 2005, he served at the Department of Chemistry, Washington State University, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate. From September 2005 to March 2007, he worked at the Department of Bioengineering, Rice University, as a Senior Research Fellow. From March 2007 to June 2009, he served at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Hunan University, as a Professor.
