Subhash Chandra Tripathi
Dr. Subhash Tripathi is currently holds the position of Superintendent of Laboratory Section, FRD, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, and is currently elected Vice President of Indian Society of Analytical Scientists(ISAS). Qualifications He obtained M.Sc.( Physical Chemistry) and PhD. degree from Banaras Hindu University on "Study of some Radiation and Photochemical Processes in the context of Nuclear fuel reprocessing and Waste management"; followed by Post-doctoral work using Mass Isotopomer Distribution analysis(based on GC-MS analysis) for studying metabolism of cholesterol in genetically different mice, at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He is Ph.D.Guide from Mumbai University and Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. Research Interest He is fascinated by application of Hyphenated Chromatographic method(GC-MS and LC-MS) for the characterization of of multicomponent sample matrices pertaining of radiolytic degradation of metal extractants. His expertise lies in Identification and characterization of radiolytic degradation products of Purex solvent and other novel extractants their regeneration methodologies. His research work is directed on hydrometallurgical separations,remediation of hazardous effluent, recovery of useful radioisotopes from radioactive waste, employing novel Functional polymers, inorganic substrates and membrane systems. Degradation of solvents and resins used in chemical processing industry. Development of radioanalytical methods for quality control of Purex process.
