Subhash C. Tripathi
Subhash Chandra Tripathi currently serves as a Superintendent of the Laboratory Section, FRD, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay, India, and is currently the elected Vice President of the Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS). He obtained M.S. degree in physical chemistry and Ph.D. degree from the Banaras Hindu University, Uttar Pradesh, India, followed by postdoctoral work using mass isotopomer distribution analysis (based on GC‐MS analysis) for studying metabolism of cholesterol in genetically different mice at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, Calif, USA. He is a Ph.D. Guide from the Mumbai University and Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, India. He is fascinated by application of GC, HPLC, IC, and hyphenated chromatographic method (GC‐MS and LC‐MS) for the characterization of multicomponent sample matrices pertaining to radiolytic degradation of metal extractants. His expertise lies in chromatographic study of degradation phenomenon in radiochemical separation processes. He is also interested in the development of radioanalytical methods pertaining to radiochemical separation issues. His research work is directed to hydrometallurgical separations, remediation of hazardous effluent, recovery of useful radioisotopes from radioactive waste, and employing novel functional polymers, inorganic substrates, and different membrane‐based systems.
