Lloyd D. Fricker

Lloyd D. Fricker received the Ph.D. degree in pharmacology in 1983 from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. As a thesis project, he discovered and characterized carboxypeptidase E, the neuroendocrine peptide-processing enzyme. He did postdoctoral research from 1983 to 1986 with Ed Herbert at the Oregon Health Sciences University. Since 1986, he has directed his own lab at the Department of Molecular Pharmacology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York. His research has focused on carboxypeptidase E and other peptidases. In addition to peptidases, his current research interests include peptidomics, especially quantitative peptidomics.
