David de la Vega

David De La Vega received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunication engineering at the University of the Basque Country, San Sebastian, Spain, in 1996 and 2008, respectively. In 1998, he joined the TSR research group at the University of the Basque Country, as an associated professor, teaching broadcasting, radar and propagation. His research interests focus on digital broadcasting, radar and propagation channel models. In the last ten years, Dr. David has led a research area based on the analysis of the impact of wind turbines on radiocommunication services, including theoretical modeling, measurement campaigns for the empirical characterization of the scattering from wind turbines, and the development of a software tool for the impact analysis of planned wind farms. Within this research area, he is responsible for impact studies developed for wind farm promoters, administrations and broadcasters.
