L. Catalano

L. Catalano was born in Benevento, Italy, in 1957. He received a degree in medicine and surgery cum laude at University of Naples Federico II, Naples, Italy, in July 1981. He specialized in internal medicine with full marks in the same university in 1986, and in hematology at the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 1989. From 1982, he is Medical Assistant in the Division of Hematology at the Federico II University of Naples. From 1988, Catalano has followed patients affected by myelodysplastic and aplastic syndromes, Langerhans cell histiocytosis, and hypereosinophilic syndromes. Since 1999, he is responsible for patients affected by multiple myeloma. He is coauthor of more than 150 published papers.
