Bleddyn Jones

Bleddyn Jones became interested in exponential growth and cell survival functions after radiation exposures while studying medicine in Cambridge and later studied radiation biology. He has been a Cancer Specialist for many years and has developed many mathematical models of cancer treatments and coedited the first textbook on mathematical modelling in radiation oncology. Although his qualifications are medical, Jones' doctorate thesis was concerned with model development. He has also applied these ideas to clinical practice.
