Kaibin Tang

Kaibin Tang was born in Tianlin, Guangxi Province, China, in 1967. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in inorganic chemistry and the Ph.D. degree in condensed matter physics from the University of Science and Technology, China, in 1990, 1993, and 1996, respectively. He joined the Department of Chemistry at the same university in 1996. He became a Full Professor in 2004. He is mainly interested in solid state chemistry, including design and synthesis of nanomaterials and superconducting materials. In 2001, he was the corecipient of Second-Class Prize of the National Nature Science Award. In 2000, he was the corecipient of First-Class Prize of the Nature Science Award from the Chinese Academy of Science. He was the corecipient of Second-Class Prize of the Science and Technology Award of Anhui in 2006 and 1997, respectively. In 1996, he was corecipient of third class prize of the Nature Science Award of Chinese Academy of Science. He has published more than 150 papers on nanomaterials and superconducting materials.
