Tsukasa Akasaka

Tsukasa Akasaka received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Meiji University, Tokyo, Japan, and the Department of Environmental Chemistry, Hokkaido University, Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Molecular Design and Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, in 2000, and he is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical, Dental Materials and Engineering, Division of Oral Health Science, Graduate School of Dental Medicine, Hokkaido University. Akasaka’s research has included studies of the various bioapplications of carbon nanotubes and micro-/nanopatterned biomaterials.
