Dwaipayan Chakrabarti
Dwaipayan Chakrabarti received both the B.S. (1999) and the M.S. (2001) degrees from University of Calcutta, Kolkata and his Ph.D. degree (2006) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He was then a Marie Curie Incoming International Fellow (from 2006 to 2008) at the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, where he subsequently held an Ernest Oppenheimer Early Career Research Fellowship (from 2008 to 2011). He also held a Research Fellowship (from 2009 to 2011) at Clare Hall, Cambridge, where he is now a Life Member. He has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi since 2011. His research undertakes computational approaches to study structure, thermodynamics, and dynamics of condensed matter systems, especially soft matter. The focus of his current research is on exploring and exploiting self-assembly phenomena for the rational design of functional materials.
