Fabio Angeli

Fabio Angeli holds an M.D. degree and works as a Cardiologist and Biomedical Researcher in the Section of Cardiology, AUSL 2, Perugia, Italy. He is an investigator and coresponsible for planning and management of monocenter and multicenter clinical studies on cardiovascular drugs (in connection with hospitals and universities), in addition to medical writing. His main areas of interest include cardiovascular risk assessment in patients with hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, and coronary artery disease using electrocardiography, echocardiography, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and other noninvasive tests, as well as evaluation of cardiovascular treatment. Dr. Angeli is the author of scientific works on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and hypertension (including original articles, meta-analyses, reviews, commentaries, and abstracts) published in leading journals including The Lancet, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Hypertension, American Journal of Cardiology, American Journal of Hypertension, and others. The top-ranked article (Hypertension 2004) received 183 citations in the medical literature as of March 31, 2010. He has participated to several invited lectures held in Italy and served as a reviewer for leading medical journals and graders for scientific meetings. Dr. Angeli serves also as a member of scientific secretary of several ongoing multicenter studies in Italy.
