Raghunath V. Chaudhari

Raghunath V. Chaudhari studied chemistry at University of Mumbai and then obtained Ph.D. degree of Mumbai University in 1974. After postdoctoral research at Chemical Engineering Department, University of Edinburgh (1974-1975), he has worked for the last 31 years as a Scientist at the Chemical Engineering Division of National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, India, including as Head of the Homogeneous Catalysis Division for the last 10 years. In March 2007, he joined the Center for Environmentally Beneficial Catalysis (CEBC) at the University of Kansas as a Distinguished Professor of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering. His research interests are in homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis, multiphase reaction engineering, biphasic catalysis, kinetic modeling and processes involving hydrogenation, oxidation, carbonylation/ hydroformylation, and so forth. He has coauthored 235 publications, 54 patents, and a Book on Three Phase Catalytic Reactors.
