Johannes B. van Goudoever
Johannes B. van Goudoever performed his Ph.D. thesis on “Nitrogen metabolism of the preterm infant”. He is a Professor of paediatrics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, the Director of Neonatal Intensive Care, and Vice Chairman of the Department of Peadiatrics of the Sophia Children’s Hospital, Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He received his medical education and paediatric training at the same university. From 1998 till 2000, he held a postdoctorate position at the laboratory of the late Peter Reeds, Baylor College of Medicine, Children’s Nutrition Research Center, Houston, Tex, USA. He is a Board Member of the European Society of Paediatric Research and Council Member of the Nutrition Committee of ESPGHAN. He has a particular interest in neonatal nutrition, gastroenterology, and metabolism. He serves as a Reviewer for the Lanchet, BMJ, AJCN, Pediatrics, J Pediatrics, and many more international journals. He is an Editor for the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism.
