Daisuke Sasaki

Daisuke Sasaki received his B.S. degree and M.S. degree in aeronautics and space engineering from Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. In 2004, he obtained his Ph.D. degree in information sciences from the same university. After graduation, he worked as a postdoc at University of Southampton and at University of Cambridge, UK. In 2008, he became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Tohoku University. In 2012, he became a Lecturer in the Department of Aeronautics at Kanazawa Institute of Technologies, Kanazawa, Japan. He has worked on the development of next-generation CFD solver and aerodynamic design system in aerospace applications. His areas of expertise are aerodynamic design, evolutionary algorithm, and computational fluid dynamics.
