Tsung Ying Sun

Tsung-Ying Sun was born in Hualien, Taiwan, in 1954. He received his B.S. degree in industrial eduation from the National Kaohsiung Normal University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1976, and received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1992 and 2001, respectively. From 1976 to 2001, he was with the National Hualien Senior High School of Industry and Technology as a Teacher and Director of the Information Technology Division. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Dong Hwa University, Hualien, Taiwan. His research interests include computational intelligence, intelligent signal processing, intelligent transportation system, and embedded DSP-based system codesign. He received the best paper award of the 16th National Conference of Technological and Vocational Education, Hualien, Taiwan, in 2001. He is the author and coauthor of 13 books (in Chinese) in the areas of fuzzy control, microcomputer control, and real-time DSP programming, and so on.
