Ensanya A. Abou Neel received PG Certificate in teaching for Higher Education, University College London, Ph.D. degree in biomaterials, University College London, M.S. degree in prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University, Egypt, B.S. degree of dental medicine and surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University, Egypt. Abou Neel is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Biomaterials Division, Faculty of Dentistry, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia and as an Honorary Postdoctoral Research Associate at University College London. Previously, she worked as postdoctoral research associate at University College London, in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering Division after obtaining her Ph.D. degree 2005, then was appointed as a Lecturer in Biomaterials Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Tanta University, Egypt. Her areas of expertise include novel degradable methacrylate/lactide-based bone adhesives/cements, guided bone regeneration membranes for periodontal repair, remineralising-antibacterial dental adhesive/composite materials, models for remineralisation of defective tooth structure, chlorhexidine releasing calcium phosphate bone cements, collagen/calcium phosphate glass fiber constructs for muscle/tendon/ligament repair, nondegradable methacrylate denture base materials, antibacterial calcium phosphate-based glasses/fibers for hard/soft tissue engineering, fiber-reinforced glass ionomer cements for dental and orthopedic applications collaboration, bioactive and biodegradable composites as bone fracture fixation devices, surface modification of nitinol alloy for biomedical application, and engineered microchannel collagen constructs for neural tissue repair.
