Steffen Ringgaard is Master in Science in physics and currently employed as associate professor. He has worked with magnetic resonance in more than a decade. His primary focus has been on cardiovascular MRI with special attention to blood flow measurements with high spatial resolution and optimized signal-to-noise ratio. This work has included studies of heart valve morphology and function, MR coronary angiography and he has also worked with motion compensation of MR scanning. His work has also comprised projects doing high field imaging in rodents, including both heart and kidney studies. Besides, he has been involved with the education of engineers and other students by teaching on dedicated MR courses as well as practical training of researchers doing MR projects.
