Satoshi Imazato is currently a Professor, biomaterials science at the Osaka University Graduate School of Dentistry. He received the DDS degree in 1986 and Ph.D. degree in 1992 from the Osaka University. Since 1991, he has been holding the appointments at the Faculty and Graduate School of Dentistry of Osaka University and was the Research Staff of Newcastle University, UK from 1993 to 1994. He has been involved in executive committee of Dental Materials Group of International Association for Dental Research (IADR) for many years and served as the President of Dental Materials Group from 2008 to 2009. He also worked as the Organizer of the program for Dental Materials Group at IADR annual meeting many times. He is currently an Associate Editor of the Journal of Investigative and Clinical Dentistry and is on the Editorial Board of Dental Materials, American Journal of Dental Association, Journal of Dentistry, Journal of Adhesive Dentistry, and Dental Materials Journal. His areas of expertise are biomaterials for reconstruction and regenerative therapy, especially in dental field.
