Sen Zhang received the B.E. degree in power system from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 1993 and the M.E. degree from Northeast University, Shenyang, China, in 2000, respectively. She obtained the Ph.D. degree in autonomous robotics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, at the beginning of 2006. From September 1993 to May 2002, Zhang served as a Lecturer in Shenyang Power Institute, Shenyang, China. From May 2002 to May 2005, she pursued the Ph.D. degree in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Nanyang Technological University. From June 2005 to January 2007, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same university. From February 2007 to August 2009, Zhang worked at the National University of Singapore, Singapore, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. From November 2009 to April 2012, she worked as a Lecturer in Charge in Singapore Polytechnic, Singapore. Currently, she works as an Associate Professor at the University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing, China. Her research interests include human motion tracking, rehabilitation for the elderly and patients, robot localization, simultaneous localization and map building (SLAM), sensor fusion, and target tracking.
