Michela Garofalo received a B.S. degree in biological sciences in October 2002 and a Ph.D. degree in molecular pathology and physiopathology in February 2008. Dr. Garofalo postdoctoral research was done in Carlo Croce's lab, Ohio State University, in which she currently works as a Research Scientist. Her research experiences are in molecular and human cancer genetics with expertise in protein-protein interactions and microRNA involvement in drug resistance in cancer cells.
