Jolanta Natalia Latosinska
Jolanta Natalia Latosinska was born in Poznan, Poland. She received two M.S. degrees in mathematics and physics and Ph.D. degree in physics from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. Since 1991, Latosinska has been working at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. Presently, she holds a position of an Independent Research Worker with Doctor Habilitatus degree. Latosinska performed the first in Poland pioneer study by 14N-NQR and applied the multipulse sequences (SLE, SORC) in searching for weak signals. Another pioneer study involved modeling of NQR parameters by the quantum chemistry methods (from semiempirical to density functional theory - DFT). Her area of interests includes finding correlations between different spectroscopic parameters describing the electronic structure of biologically active systems and their biological activity and finding intercorrelations between different spectroscopic parameters determined by the magnetic resonance methods NQR, NMR, and EPR. Recently, her scientific activity has mainly concerned drug development and molecular modeling with the use of DFT and magnetic resonances.
