Xingcai Lu was graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology with B.S. degree in 1992, and then he got his M.S. degree from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China in 2002. He also received his Doctorate degree in 2005 from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. For years, Dr. Lu had been working in R&D Department of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, one of the leading automanufacturers in China and was involved in the design of EQD6105 engine. Also he was in charge of NND6102Z turbocharged diesel engine and the developing projects of EQ368 gasoline engine and NND4110/T diesel engine. Now, Dr. Lu works in the research group of Institute of Internal Combustion Engine, School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Being specialized in the research field of internal engine combustion, emission control, alternative fuels, and homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI), Dr. Lu has published over 30 research papers in international journals such as Progress in Combustion Scienece and Technology, Combustion & Flame, Fuel, Energy & Fuels, Combustion Science and Technology, and International Journal of Automotive Technology in the recent five years. He also serves as the Editor of The Open Journal of the Transportation.
