Vadim E. Mizonov, Dr.-Eng., Prof., born 28.12.1946 in Ivanovo, Russia, Head of Applied Mathematics Department at the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University. Graduated from the Moscow Higher Technical School named after Bauman. Honorary Science Worker of Russia, Governmental Prize winner in science and technology, a member of the working party Comminution and Classification of EFCE. A visiting professor at the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, and at the Ecole des mines d’Albi, France. Co-director of several international agreements on scientific co-operation. The fields of scientific interests are: comminution, classification, complex milling circuits, mixing of solids, heat and mass transfer in porous media – mathematical modeling, optimization, and design of new equipment. Author of more than 500 publication including 100 patents of Russia and Poland and 16 books (mostly in Russian).
