Ming Li is a Professor at Horn Point Laboratory, the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science. He obtained his B. Eng. degree from Hohai University, China and Ph.D degree from University of Oxford, United Kingdom. After working at the University of Victoria and Institute of Ocean Sciences in Canada, he moved to the University of Maryland in 2001. His research spans several areas of oceanography: coastal and estuarine circulations, biological-physical interactions, air-sea interaction and turbulent mixing.
