Jing-Ying Lin received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Institute of physiology from National Yang-Ming University, Taiwan, in 1991 and 1995, respectively. She joined the faculty of the Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Science at Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology as an associate professor in 2011. Her professional fields include cell biology & signal transduction, cardiology and neurophysiology. Her research interests spans over (1) protective function of magnesium sulfate and its signal transduction system; (2) pathophysiological mechanisms of neuronal cell death produced in various diseases, including stroke, smoking and diabetes mellitus as well as their prevention and therapy; (3) natural product research including Chinese medicine, with an emphasis on cell death regulation and cell signaling process.
