Siddik Malkoç (a holder of the D.D., Ph.D., and M.D. degrees) is Professor, Chair of Department of Orthodontics, and Vice Dean at the Inonu University in Malatya, Turkey. He received his dentistry training from the University of Hacettepe in 1997 and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Selçuk in 2002, in Turkey. During the course of his career, he has undertaken duties as a Clinical Instructor and Research and Postgraduate Coordinator at the University of Selçuk, Assistant Professor at the University of Selçuk, and Research Professor at the University of Inonu. He is having over 70 publications and over 50 presentations in different countries. He is active member of the Turkish Academy of Science, Turkish Orthodontic Society, European Orthodontic Society, World Federation of Orthodontics, American Association of Orthodontics, and International Association for Dental Research. His research interests include distraction osteogenesis, orthognathic surgery, growth and development, biocompatibility and cytotoxicity of orthodontic materials, orthodontic bonding, temporary anchorage devices, self-ligating brackets, and orthopedic treatment modalities. He lectured in North America and Europe.
