Yigzaw G Yohanis

Yigzaw G Yohanis is a Fellow at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, and the Energy Institute. He is a Member of the Centre for Sustainable Technologies and the Built Environment Research Institute of the University of Ulster, Belfast, UK. He has many years of industrial experience at senior levels. His research interests are in the area of low energy buildings. They include thermal modeling, building energy analysis, building integrated photovoltaics, solar water pumping, and household energy behavior. He is a Reviewer for the Solar Energy Journal, an author of a Best Full Length Solar Energy Journal Paper in Photovoltaics during 2005-2006, and a recipient of the Royal Academy of Engineering Award. He has research collaborations with the Institute for High Temperatures, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, Russia; Department of Engineering and Technical Sciences, University of Warmia and Mazury, Olsztyn, Poland; Dublin Institute of Technology, Dublin, Ireland; Bogor Agricultural University, Bogor, Indonesia; Darma Persada University, Jakarta, Indonesia; Oklahoma State University, Okla, USA.
