Mauro Conti

Mauro Conti received his M.S. and his Ph.D. degrees in computer science (advisor Professor Luigi V. Mancini), Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, in 2005 and 2009, respectively. In 2008, he was a Visiting Researcher (supervised by Professor Sushil Jajodia) at the Center for Secure Information Systems (CSIS) at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, USA. In 2009, he was selected for the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM) "Alain Bensoussan" Fellowship (currently an EU Marie Curie COFUND action). From 2009 to 2011, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher (supervised by Professor Andrew S. Tanenbaum and Professor Bruno Crispo) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In November 2010, he was a Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles, CA, USA (working with Professor Mario Gerla). In 2011, he joined the University of Padua, Padua, Italy (among the best Italian universities), as an Assistant Professor (tenured faculty). In the summers of 2012 and 2013, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of California, Irvine, CA, USA (working with Professor Gene Tsudik). Since 2012, he has been an EU Marie Curie Fellow. In October-November 2013, he was a DAAD Fellow at the Center for Advance Security Research Darmstadt (CASED), TU Darmstadt, Germany (working with Professor Ahmad-Reza Sadeghi). His research interests are mainly in the area of security and privacy. In this area, he published more than 60 papers in the top most international peer-reviewed journals and conferences (including IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security, ACM Transactions on the Web, ACM WiSec, ACM AsiaCCS, ACM SACMAT, ACM MobiHoc, and IEEE ICDCS). He served as a Program Committee Member at several conferences (including ACM CODASPY, IEEE PASSAT, IEEE MASS, ACNS, and SecureComm). He was a Panelist at ACM CODASPY 2011. He was the General Chair for SecureComm 2012 and ACM SACMAT 2013.
