Ivan D. Rukhlenko received the B.S. and M.S. (with honors) degrees in physics from the Saint Petersburg State Technical University, Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 2001 and 2003, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in optics from the Saint Petersburg State University of Informational Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, he was a Research Fellow in the Department Optics of Nanostructures, at the Center of Informational Optical Technologies, Saint Petersburg State University of Informational Technologies, Mechanics and Optics, Saint Petersburg, Russia. Currently, he is a Research Fellow in the Advanced Computing and Simulation Laboratory, at the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, Monash University, Clayton, Australia. His main research interests are in the fields of nonlinear optics, silicon photonics, plasmonics, metamaterials, and nanotechnology.
