Bhabani S. Dandapat

Bhabani S. Dandapat received a Ph.D. degree from IIT, Kharagpur, India, in 1978, and then joined as a Faculty in Member at the Department of Physics and Applied Mathematics, Indian Statistical Institute, and was subsequently promoted to the post of Professor in 1991. In 1998 he became a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India. He has worked as Head of the Department of Physics and Applied Mathematics in 2006. Currently, he is working as Dean of Academics and Head of the Department of Mathematics in the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. So far he have published 80 research papers in different journals including Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Physics of Fluids, Archive of Rational Mechanics and Analysis, AIAA Journal, Int. J. Heat and Mass Transfer, Int. J. Nonlinear Mech., ZAMP, ZAMM, Chemical Engineering Sciences, and so on.
