Dr. Vishveshwar Mantha graduated in Physics at the University of Mumbai, Mumbai, India, in May, 1998. He has got his Ph.D. degree in Physics in Numerical and Experimental Thermal-Hydraulic Studies of Neutron Spallation Target of Accelerator Driven Sub critical Nuclear Reactor System at Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai, India, in December 2008. He has worked as Researcher in thermal hydraulics at Department of Mechanical Engineering of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He had a brief stint as Post Doctorate researcher at ITER India Group of Institute of Plasma Research, Gandhinagar, India. He has worked in industry on various projects in field of computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer. He has worked on range of projects in the field of energy (both fission and fusion), automobile industry, biomechanics, neutronics and MHD. He was also core development team member of major commercial CFD software product. He is currently working in the Engineering Department (UTAD, Vila Real, Portugal) and in the Research Center in Sports, Health and Human Development (CIDESD, Vila Real, Portugal). His current research focus is computational and experimental fluid mechanics, namely fluid-structure interaction and thermo-fluid analysis. He is reviewer for international journals and coauthor of 16 publications excluding conference papers and book chapters. His areas of scientific interest include the multi-physics computational fluid dynamics problems, heat and mass transfer, fluid mechanics, biomechanics, and energy.
