Boris Epstein

Boris Epstein was born in 1947 in Moscow (Russia), and received his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from Saint Petersburg State University (Russia) in 1975. Living in Israel since 1978, he joined Israel Aircraft Industries in 1979 (being the Head of IAI Computational Fluid Dynamics Department between 1987 and 1996). Since 1997, he has been a Professor at Tel Aviv-Yaffo Academic College (being the Head of the School of Computer Science since 2004) and a Consultant to industry. His major research interests include numerical methods for fluid mechanics, scientific computing, and shape optimization. He was a principal developer of several industrial CFD codes including MGAERO and NES, and contributed papers to professional journals. He is a Senior Member of AIAA.
