Yi Wang obtained his doctoral degree from China University of Petroleum, Beijing, China, in 2011 and is now a Faculty Member there. He has two-year research experience in the USA as a Visiting Scholar and one-year research experience in Saudi Arabia as a Postdoc Fellow. His major research interest is numerical simulation for turbulent drag reduction and heat transfer enhancement. He directed 4 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 research project funded by the Ministry of Education of China, and 2 research projects funded by China University of Petroleum. He published 33 journal articles of which 23 were cited by SCI and 19 were cited by EI and 22 were conference papers. He obtained the Excellent Ph.D. Dissertation Award of China University of Petroleum and 3 national research awards partially supported by his research outcomes. He organized 1 international minisymposium and chaired 1 international conference. Wang also obtained the Chen Xue-Jun Excellent Research Paper Award for Young Scholar. As one of the guest editors, he coorganized 4 special issues: Numerical Simulation of Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer Processes, Numerical Simulation of Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer Processes 2014, Numerical Simulation of Fluid Flow and Heat Transfer Processes 2015, and Advances in Turbulent Drag Reduction in the journal Advances in Mechanical Engineering.
