David A. Hildeman holds a Ph.D. degree and serves as an Associate Professor at the Division of Immunobiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Hildeman received his B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, Stevens Point, Wis, USA in 1991 and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, Wis, USA in 1997. From 1997 to 2002, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Kappler/Marrack Lab in Denver where he developed an interest in T-cell biology. Since arriving at Cincinnati Children's Hosptial in 2002, Dr. Hildeman's lab has focused on understanding the apoptotic control of T-cell homeostasis with a particular emphasis on cytokines and Bcl-2 family members. Dr. Hildeman is currently the Director of the Immunobiology Graduate Program, an Associate Editor for the Journal of Immunology, and a standing member of the CMI-B study section for the NIH.
