Michel Delamar was born 1947 in Paris, France. He works at the Laboratoier Interfaces, Traitements, Organisation et Dynamique des Systèmes (ITODYS), UMR, Universitè Paris Diderot (Paris 7), CNRS, Bâtiment Lavoisier, France. He worked as an engineer at the Ecole Superieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielles, Paris, 1971. He was a Docteur es Sciences (Ph.D. degree), Paris 7-Denis Diderot University, 1985. He worked also as a Lecturer at Picardie University (Amiens) 1979; an Assistant Professor at Paris 7-Denis Diderot University, 1987; a Professor at Paris 7-Denis Diderot University, 1990; President of Paris 7-Denis Diderot University, 1997—2002. He has been the Head of Laboratoier Interfaces, Traitements, Organisation et Dynamique des Systèmes (ITODYS), the Paris 7-Denis Diderot University, and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (since 2003). His research focuses on applied electrochemistry; surfaces and interfaces: adhesion, thin films, covalent grafting onto materials (metals, carbon, polymers), and applications; surface analysis by XPS. He has132 publications in international journals (H-factor: 27, 2813 citations).
