Robert Frouin
User Biography : Dr Robert Frouin Dr. Robert Frouin is an expert in radiation transfer, specializing in inverse problems related to light scattering. His background is in fundamental physics, acquired at the University of Lille in France. Dr. Frouin has over 20-year experience in satellite remote sensing of the atmosphere, land surface, and ocean. Current research topics include: (1) statistical inversion of satellite ocean-color data and (2) influence of phytoplankton on ocean circulation and climate. During 1994-1996, Dr. Frouin managed NASA’s ocean biogeochemistry program and was the Program Scientist for SeaWiFS and MODIS.
