C. M. Tam

C. M. Tam has been teaching at The City University, Hong Kong, since 1986. Before joining the university, he had worked for 5 years in the building industry. In 1984, he took a Master degree program in Loughborough University, Leicestershire, UK. After returning from UK, he worked as a project manager. He participated in some of the earliest Hong Kong invested projects in hotels and factories in China. He obtained a Ph.D. degree from the same university in 1993. He has been serving as leader of several teaching programs. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Building and Construction at The City University of Hong Kong. As regards research, he focuses on construction management and materials. Over the years, he has been involved in research projects with a total amount of 2.5 million Hong Kong dollars including Projects from ITF, GRF, CERG and contract research.
